Technical presentation - 30 minutes (including q&a)
Ceph SPDK NVMe-oF Gateway is a SAN-like network block disk solution. It can be used in virtualization, cloud computing, data lakes, AI, etc. Compared to the Ceph-iSCSI Gateway, it supports the modern storage network NVMe-oF protocol, which features multi-IO-queue capabilities and high performance. In this presentation, you will learn what the Ceph SPDK NVMe-oF Gateway is, why it is important, the Arm support work done in the upstream, Arm64 and x86_64 hybrid deployment, and how to perform performance testing, analysis, and tuning for a storage system on Arm.
Xinliang Liu is a Senior Engineer at Linaro Datacenter & Cloud Group Team. He mainly works on Arm64 cloud infra open source projects such as Linux kernel, Linux Distros, OpenStack, Cloud Native Projects, HPC Projects, etc. Currently, he is focusing on open-source storage projects like Lustre, BeeGFS, SPDK, Mayastor, Rook, etc.
