Over the years Qualcomm camera subsystem IP evolved from a relatively simple ISP controller to a number of separately managed interconnected hardware components. The constantly rising complexity of Qualcomm camera IP entails reworks in the current CAMSS device driver in the Linux kernel. The presentation will provide an overview of Qualcomm camera subsystem and its related controllers, their device driver support in the upstream Linux kernel, legacy and new changes in the CAMSS driver to decompose the hardware ISP complexity.
