KubeVirt is an incubating project in CNCF providing Kubernetes Virtualization API and runtime in order to define and manage virtual machines. In this presentation, I will share how we have successfully built and maintained a strong relationship with the KubeVirt open-source community, contributing meaningfully to its ecosystem. I will discuss our journey of integrating with the community’s workflow, navigating its contribution process, and fostering collaborative discussions. Furthermore, I will showcase our efforts in enabling multi-architecture support for KubeVirt, including overcoming challenges in ensuring seamless multi-arch releases. This talk aims to provide actionable insights for those looking to engage with open-source communities effectively while making impactful contributions.
