This presentation will cover how we at AMD in collaboration with Linaro, ARM and others made use of the emerging virtio-msg transport to enable virtio devices between Xen guests running in different and heterogeneous CPU clusters (x86 and ARM). We will cover how virtio was implemented over a PCIe link, the QEMU and Linux/Kernel implementations, challenges and future work.
