LIS25-211 Securing Web3 Use Cases with Rust and OP-TEE

Technical presentation - 30 minutes (including q&a)

  • Room: Session room 2 | Opala I & II

As Web3 adoption accelerates, robust security measures are essential to safeguarding user assets and data. The Apache Teaclave TrustZone SDK, the recommended Rust SDK for OP-TEE, provides a memory-safe framework for developing Trusted Applications. Beyond bridging OP-TEE APIs, it enables essential Web3 use cases, including secure key custody, AI agents, and decentralized privacy-preserving infrastructures (DePIN). This presentation explores how the Teaclave TrustZone SDK enhances security in Web3 by enabling secure key management and transaction signing, serving as a trust anchor for device authenticity. We will demonstrate its role in DePIN use cases and showcase attestation as a proof mechanism for verifying device integrity. Additionally, we will discuss key security requirements and how Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) strengthen Web3 resilience against emerging threats. Attendees will gain insights into building secure, Arm-based Web3 solutions and contributing to the open-source Arm ecosystem.
