Overview
The check-in system allows you to:
- Generate QR codes for attendees
- Scan codes for quick check-in
- Track attendance in real-time
- Generate attendance reports
How It Works
Attendee Registers → QR Code Generated → Scan at Event → Checked In
QR Codes
Automatic Generation
QR codes are generated automatically when:
- Attendee completes registration
- Payment is confirmed
- Manual registration added
QR Code Delivery
Attendees receive QR codes via:
- Registration confirmation email
- Ticket PDF attachment
- Event app (if applicable)
- Dashboard download
QR Code Contents
Each code contains:
- Unique attendee identifier
- Event reference
- Ticket information
Setting Up Check-in Stations
Requirements
For each station:
- Device with camera (phone, tablet, laptop)
- Internet connection
- Organizer account access
Station Setup
- Log in to Kite
- Go to Check-in section
- Click "Start Check-in"
- Allow camera access
- Ready to scan
Multiple Stations
For larger events:
- Set up multiple devices
- All sync in real-time
- Avoid duplicate check-ins
Checking In Attendees
Scan Method
- Attendee presents QR code
- Position code in camera view
- Code automatically detected
- Check-in confirmed
Successful Check-in
Screen shows:
- ✓ Green confirmation
- Attendee name
- Ticket type
- Badge/swag info
Failed Check-in
If scan fails:
- ✗ Error message
- Reason displayed
- Use manual method
Manual Check-in
If QR unavailable:
- Click "Manual Check-in"
- Search by name or email
- Verify identity
- Click "Check In"

- Select date range
- Click "Export"

Troubleshooting
QR Code Won't Scan
Check:
- Screen brightness
- Camera focus
- Code integrity
Try:
- Ask for new code (from email)
- Use manual check-in
Attendee Not Found
Check:
- Correct email
- Registration completed
- Payment confirmed
Action:
- Search manually
- Register on-site if needed
Already Checked In
If duplicate scan:
- Shows previous check-in time
- No action needed
- Verify with attendee
