Setting Up Your Call for Papers

Learn how to create and configure a Call for Papers (CFP) to accept speaker submissions.

Go to My Events → Select an event → Call for Papers

Overview

The Call for Papers feature allows you to:

Creating a CFP

Step 1: Access CFP Settings

  1. Open your event dashboard
  2. Click "Call for Papers" in the sidebar
  3. Click "Settings" or "Configure"

Step 2: Basic Configuration

Set up the essential details:

Opening Date When submissions open January 1, 2024
Closing Date Submission deadline March 31, 2024

Step 3: Set Dates

Configure the CFP timeline:

Tip: Consider a soft deadline with extensions for late submissions.

Step 5: Publish CFP

  1. Review all settings
  2. Click "Publish CFP" or "Open CFP"
  3. Your CFP is now live!

  1. Go to CFP Settings > Form
  2. Click "+ Add Field"
  3. Configure the field:

Extending Deadlines

To extend the closing date:

  1. Go to CFP Settings
  2. Update the closing date
  3. Save changes
  4. Optionally notify previous submitters

Closing Early

To close CFP before the deadline:

  1. Go to CFP Settings
  2. Click "Close CFP"
  3. Confirm the action

Sharing Your CFP

Find your public CFP link:

  1. Go to CFP Settings
  2. Copy the "Public CFP URL"
  3. Share via:
    • Social media
    • Newsletters
    • CFP aggregator sites
