Calendar Sync
Sync your event agenda with your personal calendar for seamless scheduling.
Supported Calendars
Kite supports synchronization with:
- Google Calendar
- Microsoft Outlook
- Apple Calendar (iCal)
- Any calendar supporting .ics files
Syncing with Google Calendar
One-Click Sync
- Go to My Agenda
- Click Sync to Google Calendar
- Sign in to your Google account if prompted
- Authorize Kite to access your calendar
- Your sessions are automatically added
What Gets Synced
- Session title
- Start and end times
- Room/location information
- Session description
- Link back to session details
Syncing with Outlook
Direct Sync
- Go to My Agenda
- Click Sync to Outlook
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Grant calendar permissions
- Sessions appear in your Outlook calendar
Using .ics File
- Export your agenda as an .ics file
- Open the file with Outlook
- Import the events to your calendar
Syncing with Apple Calendar
Using iCal Subscription
- Copy the calendar subscription URL from Kite
- Open Apple Calendar
- Go to File > New Calendar Subscription
- Paste the URL
- Configure refresh frequency
Manual Import
- Download the .ics file
- Open with Apple Calendar
- Select the calendar to add events to

Download a static .ics file:
- Contains your current agenda
- Doesn't update automatically
- Good for backup or sharing
Calendar Subscription
Subscribe to a live calendar:
- Updates automatically when you change your agenda
- Reflects schedule changes made by organizers
- Recommended for most users
Managing Synced Events
Updates
When your agenda changes:
- Subscribed calendars update automatically
- One-time exports need to be re-downloaded
- Removed sessions are deleted from synced calendars
Conflicts
If a synced session conflicts with existing events:
- Your calendar will show both events
- Resolve conflicts in your calendar app
- Consider the event's time zone
Time Zone Handling
Kite handles time zones automatically:
- Events are stored in the event's local time zone
- When synced, they convert to your calendar's time zone
- Verify times if traveling to the event
Troubleshooting
Events Not Appearing
- Check that the sync completed successfully
- Verify you're looking at the correct date range
- Try refreshing your calendar
- Re-sync if necessary
Wrong Times
- Check the event's time zone setting
- Verify your calendar's time zone
- Ensure your device's time zone is correct
Duplicate Events
- Remove the old calendar subscription
- Delete any manually added events
- Set up a fresh sync
Privacy Considerations
- Only you can see your personal agenda
- Shared calendar links show only session titles
- Your attendance is not visible to others unless you choose to share
