Account Creation
How do I create an account?
- Go to registration page
- Enter email and password
- Click "Create Account"
- Verify email
- Complete profile
Do I need an account to register for events?
Yes. An account is required to register and access event features.
Can I use social login?
Currently, Kite uses email/password authentication.
Account Management
How do I change my email address?
- Go to Profile > Settings
- Click "Change Email"
- Enter new email
- Verify the new email
How do I change my password?
- Go to Profile > Settings > Security
- Enter current password
- Enter new password
- Confirm new password
- Save
How do I update my profile?
- Go to Profile
- Update your information
- Save changes
How do I upload a profile photo?
- Go to Profile
- Click on photo area
- Select image file
- Save
Multiple Events
Can I use one account for multiple events?
Yes. Your account works across all Kite events.
How do I see all my events?
- Log in
- Go to dashboard
- See all registered events
I have different roles at different events
That's fine! Your roles are per-event. You can be:
- Organizer at Event A
- Speaker at Event B
- Attendee at Event C
Account Security
How do I secure my account?
- Use a strong password
- Don't share credentials
- Log out on shared devices
- Update password regularly
Someone accessed my account
- Change password immediately
- Review recent activity
- Contact support
Is two-factor authentication available?
Contact Kite for current security features.
Account Deletion
How do I delete my account?
Contact support at support@kite.app to request deletion.
What happens when I delete my account?
- Profile data removed
- Registration history deleted
- Access revoked
- Cannot be undone
Can I recover a deleted account?
No. Account deletion is permanent.
Email Preferences
How do I manage email notifications?
- Go to Profile > Notifications
- Configure preferences
- Save
How do I unsubscribe from emails?
- Click unsubscribe link in emails
- Or update notification settings
I'm still getting emails after unsubscribing
- May take 24-48 hours
- Contact support if persists
Account Access
I can't access my account
Try:
- Reset password
- Clear browser cache
- Try different browser
- Contact support
My account is locked
- Wait 15 minutes
- Try again
- Reset password if needed
- Contact support if persists
I forgot which email I used
Contact support with any identifying information.
Privacy
Who can see my profile?
Depends on your privacy settings:
- Public: Other event attendees
- Private: Only you and organizers
How do I make my profile private?
- Go to Profile > Settings
- Disable "Show in Directory"
- Save
